2024 schedule

Friday 31st May

We'll open Friday evening with a strong village community feel. Food will be available

Saturday 1st June

Morning: Breakfast Run 09:00
  • The 'Buckland Breakfast Run' with Tring Running Club. Croissant; bacon/sausage sarnies and coffee to follow in the village hall/garden.
Afternoon:
We are hoping to hold a family afternoon/fete/picnic in the garden. If you have ideas or would like to lead something then do please contact us. Luke's ice cream van will be attending

Evening: The ever-popular Buck Quiz night. Not too serious. Always fun! Booking essential. Food available

Sunday 2nd June

12:00 - 20:00 Music
  • A variety of local talent performing in the garden
  • Bring a lunch time picnic. Wesley's Artisan Pizza van will be here late afternoon serving extremely good pizzas from around 5pm to 7pm
  • The bar will be open throughout the afternoon and evening

Parking

  • Please be considerate if you are parking in the village. There are no parking restrictions on the main road through the village but please ensure you don't block any driveways.  It's often easier to park closer to the village entrance than it is further down into the village. Also, please do not park on New Road (the bumpy road). Thank you.

Charities

We will announce the charities we'll be supporting nearer to the time of the pub

Contact details

Buck Pub 2024 is organised by Nigel Kippax with the generous support of many volunteers. You can contact Nigel on 07768 723043 or email nigel@kippax.org.uk

Governance

To ensure that all if fair and transparent, Clive Brazier will provide 'independent financial oversight'.  He'll check income and expenditure and verify the numbers. Thanks Clive.

Costs and charitable donations

We always aim to make donations to local charities from the proceeds of the weekend and have been delighted to have raised many thousands of pounds for good causes in previous years.  Please be aware, however, that this year the cost of securing the village hall has risen by 90% versus 2023, so we may not be able to donate quite as much as in previous years.  Thank you for your understanding.
